If you have lived in Bellevue for any length of time, you may have noticed that each year Bellevue Neighborhood Association (BNA) adds additional flowers in decorative pots and hanging baskets on various corners. You also may have noticed holiday decorations appearing in various parks and city markers around town. These activities are the result of BNA volunteers. These improvements are just part of the BNA’s mission of “Improving Bellevue one block at a time.”
If you or your neighbors want a pot in your block, please let us know. BNA will purchase the pot, plants, and install them – but we need you to commit to watering the pot if Mother Nature decides to pull back on rain.
If your corner currently has a planter we will also need someone from your block to volunteer to water it as well. In the past the city and just a couple of volunteers have been watering pots around the city but the project has become too large for current volunteers.
If you volunteer, we will instruct you on the amount of water per week, type of plants etc.. You can contact the BNA via email at newsletter@bna-ky.com, message the BNA on Facebook, or call or text Diane Witte at 859-907-8766 or Kathy Barrett at 859-240-1185.
Let’s work together to make Bellevue beautiful!
